Our former pastor accepted another call last September and First Presbyterian Church is extremely grateful to have Lainie Jenkins serving as our interim pastor.  

We continue to covet your prayers as we fulfill the charge you have given us to seek the next pastor for First Presbyterian Church.  We are excited to see the strong attendance at worship and other church activities during this interim period and know that this is the sign of a strong connected community of faith.  In these times of online streaming, potential candidates are likely viewing our services and so our dedicated engagement speaks volumes.  

We continue to be energized by and appreciative of the feedback and guidance we have received from our contacts in the presbytery, synod and nationally as we reach out to them.  FPC has a strong and positive profile for a church our size and we know God is preparing the heart of our next pastor even now to be receptive to God's call to Statesboro.
